Lieutenant General Anwar Ali Hyder, HI(M) (Retd) brings nearly four decades of distinguished military service to the leadership of Fauji Foundation. Over a career spanning command, staff and instructional appointments, he rose to serve as Principal Staff Officer to the Chief of Army Staff — the Army's senior-most staff appointment.
He is widely recognised for the planning and development of Defence Housing Authorities (DHAs) across the country, and for overseeing major housing initiatives including the Askari Housing colonies.
In civilian leadership, he chaired the Naya Pakistan Housing Authority, served as Caretaker Federal Minister for Defence, and contributed to national economic growth through the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC). Today, as Chairman of the Fauji Group of Companies and MD & CEO of Fauji Foundation, he directs one of Pakistan's largest welfare and industrial organisations.
